Magic Magic Roses: River

I’m a big fan of Magic Magic Roses and have been wanting to work with Sarah and Kate for a while. They sent me a demo of River and I suggested that we find some locations in the Sacramento Delta of Northern California. It’s a maze of rivers and towns that appear to be lost in time. Very dreamy and very California. I had just met cinematographer Paul Helzner and he was up for working on it. My daughter Hannah jumped in to help as PA and assistant Camera, and Revelator Productions helped with post production. Kevin Binkert, who lives part of the year in the Delta, helped as location wrangler and boat driver. Sarah and Kate are magnetic and watching the two of them move through the lost environs of the delta was pure magic.
