No Age: Send Me

I’ve been collaborating with No Age via THE THING Quarterly for a few years, and when they were in the final stages of mixing Snares Like a Haircut we started discussing my involvement in a music video. I was working with Beth Lisick and Chris Ohlson on the short film Directors Commentary, which was going to include a cameo from No Age. Chris had the brilliant idea of shooting the music video at the same time when everyone was in Austin. Randy, Dean and I discussed a couple of potential narratives, but they both wanted the video to feel like one of my art pieces. So I proposed a super mundane office setting where a woman builds an office supply sculpture in the break room in order to be teleported to a forest office. Everyone agreed that it made total sense and we shot it in one day. The video features some fine cameos from Scott Vermiere and Producer Todd Ruhnau.

It was released via Spin Magazine.
